Position Summary
At Encore Corporate Travel we’re looking for a detail-oriented and analytical professional to join our Finance team as an Accounting Clerk specializing in Credit Card Reconciliation.
This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all corporate credit card transactions, reconciling accounts, investigating discrepancies, and supporting overall accounting operations. The ideal candidate has strong reconciliation skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of corporate credit card transactions to general ledger accounts.
- Review, analyze, and resolve discrepancies in credit card activity, ensuring proper coding and allocation.
- Communicate with cardholders, banks, and internal departments to investigate and resolve outstanding issues.
- Monitor expense reports and credit card usage for compliance with company policies.
- Prepare journal entries and adjustments as needed to maintain accurate financial records.
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and reporting.
- Assist with audits by providing documentation and explanations for reconciled accounts.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of reconciliation workflows.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Experience:
- 2–4 years of accounting experience, with a focus on reconciliations.
- Prior experience with credit card reconciliation strongly preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Excel.
- Understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
